Are my urine STI DNA results likely to be wrong????

Dear Drs,

I went for STI/STD tests recently owing to an encounter (over 10 weeks ago) whilst very drunk. With the details of that night somewhat a blur I decided I should have some tests.
I’m short, I did the first flow of urine into the container (I had waited 3 hours) but on inspection thought it was maybe a bit low so topped it up a bit more. I had continued urinating for 3 or 4 seconds in between.

Can I be confident in the negative results I got back recently?

Many thanks

Urine tests are for gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU only. They will be accurate now. You can be confident in how you describe it.

You have no details of what happened during the encounter?  Hard to direct you without any information.  I will give it a try though although my first thought is you shouldn't drink to black out drunk state as that is unsafe in general.

This article is helpful I think.  It's recent and full of good info.  https://www.actioncanadashr.org/resources/sexual-health-info/sexually-transmitted-infections/how-often-should-i-get-tested  Here is what they say about std testing:     HIV can take up to three months for a final positive result, although 95% of tests will be accurate after six weeks. It can take up to three months for enough copies of the virus (known as viral load) to accumulate in your blood and be detected through a blood test.
Chlamydia can be tested for after a few days but results will be most accurate after 2 weeks.
Gonorrhea results are most accurate after seven days. While you can get tested earlier, there is a chance of a false negative if not enough bacteria or virus has accumulated from the infection to be detected on a test.
Hepatitis has a window period of two and four weeks.
Syphilis has window period between three and four weeks.
Herpes results are most accurate after three months or within two to 12 days if a lesion is present.

They are super conservative regarding HIV, however, as most experts agree that a 4th generation DUO test can be read and considered accurate at 28 days and beyond.
