Time to heal - Impact Female

I have two questions:  (I realize the answer depends on severity of infection, but I'm looking for the "in general" or "typically" type of answers)

1) How long it takes for penial sores to heal from Chlamydia, is it days or weeks? (assuming you started antibiotics)

2) How long can a woman have Chlamydia before it adversely impacts her reproductive organs or cause other complications.  Given Chlamydia may be asymptomatic and present for some time, can a woman have this for a couple of months or a year before complications arise.

Thanks, I have seen many publications citing sores/chancres as a possible symptom of Chlaymydia.  My doc also told me the sores could be a symptom.  He has extensive experience in sexual health matters.

If you are right, then that would be music to my ears....I hope my tests (full panel) come back negative.
