Urethritis std

38 years old male..5 months back burning n pain in penis n frequent urination..Urinalyses show pus cells but no growth..PSA was on high end 2.1..Doc gave me cephalexin for week n single dose for ureaplasma although I was negative for it..Specialist told me prostatitis...Gave two weeks of more antibiotics...I was doing unprotected intercourse with my partner in between....Never had intercourse with any one else..Symptoms improved but not 100 %..Month back feeling burning n pain after urination..urinalysis normal but positive ureaplasma...Didn't do unprotected but used condom just for one time after this.. ...He gave me single dose first then doxy for 2 weeks n asked to be tested after three months..Presently symptoms still there....wht shud I do wait for two months...Feeling depressed n hopeless....Old help me

Hi, when you say you have burning while urinating is the burning inside your urethra or does it feel its coming from somewhere else. Also if your psa is 2.1 you really need to keep an eye on this number and would advise to have another psa test in 2 months. When a person has burning while urinating but no white puss penis discharge, would not indicate an infection in the urinaly area but could be the prostate.

Thx 4 reply... Feel burning inside urethra ...n forget to mention white threads in urine as well...I have prostatitis 4 years ago as well...Doc gave me antibiotic n PSA came down at thmonths4...PSA is due in 2 months....
Correction.. psa came down after antibiotics at tht time
