I'm thinking of being tested.

Hello, I was recently stupid, for the LAST time. Had unprotected oral and vaginal sex with a stranger. I think the time has come for a complete battery of tests. Can someone tell me a bit about the window periods. From what I hear, and HIV test can be considered conclusive after 28 days. Is that for low cost testing or the very expensive PCR? Also, what about other STD's?

antibody test at 28 days is not conclusive, but fair, get test after 6 weeks and a conclusive result at 12 weeks, unprotected sex is just some minutes but hiv is forever, learn to raincoat your pocket rocket,is not with who you have sex that matters but how you do it that matters

Well I think stupid is exactly the right word.
Addiction is terrible :/.

Anyways. At 28 days a combo test would be somewhat reliable, and keep you sane until you make it to 12 weeks. Test for everything regularly.

Try to remember how you feel now, everyday, after this fear passes. Give yourself a constant reminder of what a waste of life this is.
Use protection, and don't see prostitutes.
