Syphillis

the other day i had protected sex with a prostitute i wore a condom during oral and vaginal sex the condom did not break. nerves are really bothering me just wondering how likely it is that i may have been exposed to syphillis i did not see any visual sores or her but it was dark and didnt look closely also during this encounter i fingered her and she licked my scrotum if any one gan give me a little insight it would be nice. Thanks

ok sorry about that the numbers you gave earlier you said were inflated its just that the more research you do it seems as if condoms really dont offer that much protection it seems as if its a sure thing if you barely touch a sore youre infected dosent matter if the skin is intact or what ever its just scary  i appreciate you posts

Herpes and HPV would be possible as they are skin to skin, but again very low risk.

Even if you came into direct contact with a syphilis sore you are still only 50/50 on getting it. Again i would not worry the slightest about it.

Lets say the US has 1 million prostitutes and lets say 10,000 syphilis infections happen to those 1mil hookers. You still only run a risk of .001% of having sex with someone with syphilis. And I used very inflated numbers to prove a point of no risk. And I could go into more detail which would give your risk probably in the neighborhood of .00000000000000000000001%

Syphilis is rare in the US, maybe about 20,000 cases a year and most of those are in gay men. With condom use, I would not even worry.
