purple INSIDE the urethra?

Male in my mid thirties, had some persistent "tingling" at my urethra about 5 days after protected oral/vaginal at a massage parlor.

Other symptoms include possible swollen left lymph node (had a big lump there for a couple days) and feeling run down like I was getting a cold for a few days. No noticeable discharge though there does seem to be a clear mucousy fluid inside my urethra sometimes (maybe normal).

Did the anxiety thing for awhile, no noticeable herpes lesions, and tested negative for everything 3 weeks in. Urinalysis didn't show any WBC or bacteria in urine.

Sitting at about 5 weeks now, and have been feeling fine but still worried while I wait for re-test for herpes since 3 weeks was too early. Doing some self examination and I've noticed if I spread open my urethra there is a dark red/purple area inside. Seems to have small ren veins running through it.

Only similar thing I could find online was http://reddit.com/r/Herpes/comments/arqt6o/hsv_inside_urethra/, but he also ended up testing negative for anything.

Any ideas what this might be? Is it just an irritated urethra? Or does it point to anything more specific?

I'm not a doctor, but that looks like some irritation, maybe.

Herpes is blisters. I don't know if that guy has herpes (his tests say no, but I didn't read the whole thing), but it's not herpes in his urethra.

I'm not a man, so I haven't personally experienced this, but it is my understanding that having herpes sores in the urethra is PAINFUL. Urinating with them HURTS. It leaves no question that something is wrong.

If you have symptoms, you won't need to spread your urethra to find them. Stop doing that. All it does is cause irritation.

Your encounter was protected. The chances of you getting herpes are very, very slim, as I told you before.

Is this anxiety normal for you? Is it because it was a CSW? If this is normal for you, you should consider talking to someone about it. It's not in proportion to the risk level here.

ty ty, was mostly just curious if anyone had run into similar symptoms before (unrelated to herpes), the guy on reddit did test negative for everything, and theyre not blisters, and they dont hurt during urination so I agree re: not herpes
I'll let other men comment about that then. :)
