Strep after sex
I've had problems with strep throat all my life, but never as bad as it has been lately - five times in three months, or so. I've been tested for STD's and so has my partner, but it seems like every time I have sex, I come down with strep within a day or two. And not a mild case - within a day, my tonsils have nearly closed my throat, I'm nauseous, and so weak and dizzy that I'm barely able to move. Is it possible that sex is the reason behind this?
Are you getting properly tested for strep? Are you treating it properly? Are you tossing your toothbrush as soon as you've finished your antibiotics too?
Also you need to see an ENT specialist at this point if you answered yes to at least 2 of the above questions. It could be more than strep going on or it could be that it's time for your tonsils to come out :)
