Symptoms of Chlamydia and treatments

I have noticed that a milky white discharge appears in the penis. I saw this discharge a week ago. Also I didn't have any sex with others than my wife. I did a research on internet and found that my symptoms are almost similar to Chlamydia. I took Azithromycin 1g before I go to bed two days ago. As the discharge didn't disappear two days after taking Azithromycin 1g, I started taking Doxycycline 100mg twice a day for 7 days. Is this procedure effective or not? What other alternative medications available for my aliment without seeing a doctor or screening test? Should I continue Doxycycline 100mg for next six days as I have started yesterday? Thanks.
