Ulcer, cheek bite or syphilis chancre?

Is there certain characteristics that make a syphilis chancre?

I’ve got a sore in my cheek that is painful and feels more like a bite. Also going cold turkey on nicotine and read that withdrawal can cause ulcers/mouth issues.

Timing with an oral exposure just has me worried.

I've already advised you that a syphilis sore would appear at the point of infection. That means that it would appear in your mouth wherever syphilis entered from his sore.

Even if he had a sore you didn't notice, it would likely be on your tongue, maybe the roof of your mouth, or your lips. Having a sore up by your wisdom tooth is unlikely to be syphilis.

Good for you for quitting nicotine. That's hard, hard stuff.

Just go test. You're concerned. Go test. You can ask a zillion questions, but I'm only going to tell you to test.

Booked in to test tomorrow. Just driving myself crazy - my apologies.
You should also make an appt with your dentist.

Let me know what your results are.
Hey auntiejessi, just back to say my results were negative, relief! A question though, i went private for this through a reputable worldwide company. Their window period for syphilis test is 9 days, do you know why this might be?
I don't know why. You'd have to ask them.
