what kind of test use to detect a chlamydia?

What is the test done for chlamydia?Is it an ordinary urinalysis?or what

A swab test from the genital area, then they send it to the lab and use chlamydia bacteria and see if it grows in your sample, if it does, your infected.

No, they can test your urine, but they need to do a specific chlamydia test on it.  A regular urine analysis won't find chlamydia.
