STI Detectable Infection Period

Hi, so I have posted on here a couple times over the last few days. Was very worried that I may have picked up an STI from unprotected oral sex. I was tested at a clinic almost 4 days after the incident, and just got the results back today. They came back negative and there was no evidence of gonorrhea or chylamidia. Great news, but another doctor had told me that they tested me too early and that it may not have been detectable after 3-4 days. What’s the opinion on this? And second question, if it wasn’t detectable on that test, does that mean that I couldn’t have passed it on with intercourse during that 3-4 day period?
Thx

thanks so much. I really appreciate your clear answers. I was hoping you’d respond to me as I’ve seen your responses to others and they are good with thought and not just short sentence with no reasoning. appreciate it

That could be high risk of transmission, maybe for gon in particular.  But since yr test shows u didn't have it, no worries.

Ok, thanks. Would it be possible to pass it on to a new sexual partner within 1-3 days of the incident - low risk?

5-7 days is intended to assure accurate results for chlamydia, but oral chlamydia is rare and therefore very rarely passed (if at all) by oral sex.  2-3 days is OK for gonorrhea testing.  So your 4 day negative ican be considered conclusive.

Typically say 5-7 days, 4 days is probably fine.
