what are risks for STDs

Hi,

I met a girl on dating app and we had protected vaginal sex. And unprotected oral sex. She gave oral to me and I gave oral to her. For what STDs should I be worried? Was there any risk for HIV?

There is no risk for HIV. Hiv is only transmitted if you have unprotected vaginal or anal sex or share IV needles to inject drugs. Air and saliva inactivate the virus. And the head is the only thing needed to be covered during vaginal sex and your condom did that. So, no risk of HIV. As to other std's. Extremely low risk from oral sex and protected vaginal. In the absence of symptoms, you do not even need to test. I wouldn't be worried as risk was very low

Hi. Thanks for your response.
But I have read a lot online about this topic. And I have found some sources/articles that say it is also possible to get HIV via oral sex. And some say that isnt possible. What do you think about that?
I think if you ask any expert in the field about it, they would say it's a theoretical risk - body fluids are involved and all. However, in practice, it doesn't happen.

There are no documented cases of anyone ever getting HIV from receiving oral sex, and reports of it transmitting via cunnilingus (oral on a woman) at all are rare, and aren't reliable.

Even if you were performing fellatio (oral on a man), it's not something I'd ever worry about. Less than 1% of the population has HIV, and unless you're in a region with higher HIV rates (parts of Africa, for example), it's not something you need to overly worry about, especially if you aren't a man who has sex with men.
