Shoukd I be concerned

I'm wondering if I should be concerned or if I am over thinking things.  this is more of a gyno type question.  I have been getting my period since I was 10.  most of my life it's been relativly heavy i an 27 now.  Almost 3 years ago I had my daughter and since then it's lighten up more and been fairly condistant. 2 months ago my period was extremely light.  last month it was extremely heavy and very very painful. I've also had pain during sex in my lower abdomen and pain with pressure there.  I haven't been to get a gyno check up since 2013 and know I need to go it's just hard because I live so far away and work during week.  I've had cysts when I was younger and don't know if that's happening again

I would do all you can to get that check up as soon as you can. To help a little while you wait though, I've see it to be quite common to have such changes in your cycle. I had a few females working for me in Afghanistan and the stress, time differences, and general conditions were what their doctors said were leading causes at the time.

Hi,

I had a similar problem after my last child; according to my gynecologist mine was due to hormonal changes ~ but I'm a lot older than you, so maybe this doesn't apply here (?)...One thing you might consider doing is to keep track of your periods and any light bleeding ( write it down on your calendar) just in case you need to reference the pattern for your doctors sake...

There could several different reasons for your light and irregular periods w/ pain & pressure, but the only way that you are going to be able to figure this out is by having an exam performed by your gynecologist. Because you've had cysts in the past, you should definitely talk with your gynecologist about your current issues very soon...
