A bump / lump coinciding with mole

I have a mole on my upper lip that I have had since birth. However, since I have started shaving two/three times a week* I've noticed a bump/lump that I can barely make out is covering part of the mole when I really look close.

I found it because it is painful when I apply pressure to the bump and strangely enough when I put my thumb in my mouth beneath my top lip I can feel the bump from inside of the skin.

I have always suffered from cystic acne and it kind of feels like that did, but obviously the fact it is under/on a mole is making me panic.

Is it likely to be something like a cyst/ingrown hair or is it likely to be melanoma?

*I probably first noticed the lump 9-12 months ago, I am pretty sure it has gone and returned since then. But I forget about it for long periods then worry again.

Have it checked by a melanoma qualified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon. Mine was similar & my Plastic Surgeon was convinced I would die. He said I was a 4.5 with 5 being fatal cuz it got so big so get it off and sent for testing asap. This is a very survivable cancer when caught early. I had my radical surgery with node removal 1/2/89 & unbelievably or as I believe miraculously had not infected my nodes so I'm still standing after all these years, lol! Get to a doctor, sooner the better!
