10:30pm to 1:30 am every night

Starting this last month I have been going to bed at my regular time of 10:30 but waking up between 1:00am and 2:00am. I have had 2 sleep studies and they recommend Ambien Long Acting. It didnt work. I feel fully awake and get up for the rest of the night and work on the computer or something. No sleep apnea or resless leg syndroem or anything. Studies show I just wake up after a short REM cycle.
I have tried Ambien, and a lot of herbal medicines. Nothing works. Does anybody have this problem or ideas on a solution>

Sometimes that happens to me and sometimes its the opposite - awake till 5 AM then I sleep, but the alarm goes off soon after and I am a zombie. I think we both know about sleep hygene and reducing stress is a joke unless you are so wealthy you dont work.

I would guess you have slept with the white noise of a fan on - popular trick that work a little for me. Some times drinking a little lemon jouce helps and magnessium works a little. A swig of Coulf syrup is the best for me. I just had my second sleep study. Guess what, I couldnt sleep! How can anyone sleep with all those wires and a camera pointed at you! What a joke. Sleep studys only work for major apnea patients. Further studying is needed to help folks that just dont sleep, period.

Feel free to PM me on anything you learn, I am trying to get to the bottom of this too. I truly feel that some people are made to sleep in 3 hour intravels.

Hi,
How are you? I've posted this earlier-  Sleep hygiene can be defined as controlling both environmental  and behavioral factors that precede sleep and may interfere with sleep.By following some guidelines in an attempt to ensure more restful sleep, this can promote daytime alertness and help  avoid certain kinds of sleep disorders. Trouble sleeping and daytime sleepiness are considered indications of poor sleep hygiene. Some tips on sleep hygiene are: get enough sleep, reduce stress,  exercise regularly and keep a regular sleep schedule.
