12 yr old will not sleep in her room

My 12 yr old sleeps in the floor by my bed every night.  I have tried everything to get her to sleep in her room, she says she is afraid that someone will break in in the middle of the night, even though we live in a nice neighborhood with close to 0 crime.  She is fine when she has sleepovers, her and her friends will hang in her room all night and go to bed without any issues, but when it's just her by herself, she can't do it.

Why is she afraid has she seen anything that scared her on TV any older siblings/relatives/friends  could have said something scary, my guess is something has triggered it off , have you asked her why ?
