Sleep

I'm having a serious sleeping problem. I am extremely tired all the time, no matter what time I go to bed, it is nearly impossible for me to wake up before i've had at least 14 hours of sleep and even then I feel like I could use 14 more. It's been like this for over a month now and I have no idea how to get up and actually stay up. Is there anything that I could do to get myself on a regular sleeping schedule?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It could just be that you are tired and need more sleep. Just give yourself more time to sleep/rest. If the symptoms still do not resolve, then you have to get assessed for sleep disorders. Certain sleep disorders like obstructive sleep apnea can cause disturbed sleep and hence the need to sleep more. And others like narcolepsy can cause excessive sleepiness per say.

If it persists or is troublesome consult your doctor for assessment.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Is it possible that you could be depressed? When some people get depressed they feel like they could sleep forever.
Good luck I hope you find oh what's going on with your sleep and that I goes back to normal.

Well, I might suggest sleeping at least 9-10 hours a night which means going to bed at eight and waking up at 6 or 6:30. It will turn into a habit. You can sleep in as late as you want on the weekends, but start making a schedule.
