Can't stop saying "No" and jolting when trying to sleep???

Every night when I try to sleep I can not stop jolting side to side and saying "no" repedidly as if I were already asleep and having a night mare. Excpet I honestlt don't remember the last time I had a night mare. I just don't get them. But this jolting and saying no almost contimuesly are driving me nuts. I can only imagine if my family hears me.

Does anyone know what causes this? Has anyone else had this happen to them? Please let me know, this happens every time I try to sleep.

Also I have been having problems getting to bed. Jusy can't settle down. Hoping putting he phone away at night will help with this though. And I am very tired during the day. And when I do sleep no matter how many hours of sleep I get even 8 hours I can't get myself out of bed. It's honestly my biggest daily struggle! !

Not clear how you know what you are doing when asleep, I read you post to say you sleep alone, in a separate room form other family members... did one of them report hearing?

The fact you don't remember a dream/nightmare doesn't mean you are not having one... in any case there seems to be something in you subconscious mind that you are very opposed to and it comes out when you go to sleep.  Try to think about something you are concerned about happening that you would say "no... no" to and try to resolve that issue.

Professional counseling may also help, you could start with and ask your primary care doctor on this idea. If you are truly tired after 8 hours sleep you are not getting restful sleep - apnea?
