I don't understand what's going on?!

Hello,

I am in desperate need of sleep that is not consistenly happening.  For the past two weeks my sleep has been off and on.  3 days before my period started I was getting no sleep, I just could not fall asleep at all.  I did sleep somewhat, but probably only 2-3 hours a night.  Once I got my period the insomnia went away and I finally slept like a normal person.  Well the day my period stopped which was Friday my insomnia started up again.  Last night I only slept about an hour.  I couldn't even close my eyes this morning without the urge to reopen them. It's awful.

I have always had an issue with insomnia, but not this bad.  This is something new.  I am going to try marijuana tonight because that has helped a lot in the past and is a whole lot better than taking sleeping pills.  I also have a doctors appointment on Wednesday.

I am curious to know what your solutions are to insomnia, what has worked for you?  Does my situation sound normal?

I don't know about the EMF thing, I heard that it's not true about EMF effecting your health...I bought Melatonin pills so I am gonna see if that helps as well.  I feel really tired right now, but the minute I lay down I start thinking or I just don't have that relaxed feeling that people get when they are about to go to sleep.  My insomnia is not constant, thank god! So I hope that maybe some lifestyle changes will help.

I never drink, think I have an allergy to alcohol, always makes me sick, even one glass, but I need to exercise because I never do.  I work a desk job so I am always sedentary.  I also want to try reading instead of watching tv before bed.  So I am gonna exercise, read and take melatonin...hope this works, but I am also see my doctor wednesday just to make sure I don't have a thyroid issue.

Sorry I am rambling, it's the lack of sleep...so tired, can't wait till I am off work... :)

I agree with Bob try cutting back on eating crabs especially sugar, no snacking a few hours before sleep, that includes wine as that has sugar maybe you were thinking a lot that will also keep you awake churning problems over .Visualise a nice scene maybe a beach or a garden and go there ,the same scene every night ..one other thought have you had a new meter put in your house as the smart meter have more EMF's and that will keep you awake
