period or implantation, someone help!

I am 19 years old. I used to have regular periods a 4 week cycle and they were never late or early. 2/3 months ago, my periods changed and started coming every 3 weeks. i looked at my calendar and in september i was due my periods on the 10th but i remember coming 2-3 days early. If my periods were still on a three week cycle i was due on the 1st of semptember, i got a few mild cramps near that date but no sign of the period. I took a hpt and it was negitive and if my period was going back to the 4 week cycle i was due on the 6th. there was no sign of any blood until yesterday around 9pm, it looked like a normal flow, not heavy just avarage so i put in a tampon before going to bed, i woke up this morning and i removed the tampon, went to the toilet (sorry if too much info!) and i wiped, the toilet tissue was clean no sin of blood at all. so i decided to put on a pad so i could watch what was going on.. an hour later i returned to the toilet and there was still a clean pad, i wiped and there was a small pinkish watery blood mark on the tissue, another 2 hours passed and i returned there was a little blood on the pad about the size of a peice of sweetcorn, i returned a few hours later and there was a small speck of blood like a couple of little dots. when i wipe its very light pink. yesterday afternoon i had major cramps and i knew i was going to bleed. i went to the docs to get my blood test results that i had taken a week prior, everything was fine he said, thiroid, liver, blood pressure, hormones ect it was all fine. so what is going on with me? has anyone experienced this and what was the end result? i took a preg test a couple of days ago and it was neg, but im sure the doctor would of said if i was pregnant and implantation bleeding happens before a period is due... HELP!

Thanks very much for getting back to me.I'm worried incase I can't concive I have been trying to concive over a year now and no luck. And when I try not to try it dosnt help cos its always on my mind. I've wasted so much money on tests and thought I was pregnant so many times. I just don't know what to do. I know stress can cause problems but how can you over come stress xx

This could be implantation bleeding. However, it sounds like it could also be a light (spotting) period. I lost some weight and increased my activities prior to becoming pregnant and my periods were exactly how you described. Sometimes i wouldn't even have a period. My period began like this in June of last year and didn't stop being light pink and red when i wiped or occasionally on the pad/tampon until i became pregnant in February of this year. I was not pregnant that entire time. If you think you may be pregnant test around your next known period, if it comes back negative. You could be lucky and have light periods from now on.
