Hashi's can show in either or both TPO ab and TG ab tests. It is definitely Hashi's. TSH is low because it has an inverse relationship with the actual thyroid hormone levels. As Free T3 and Free T4 increase, the pituitary produces less TSH. Your TSH is suppressed because of your Armour dosage. That does not mean that you are hyper. As previously mentioned you are hyper only if having hyper symptoms, due to excessive levels of Free T3 and Free T4, which obviously you do not have.
NDT meds like Armour contain a higher proportion of T3 than your natural thyroid hormone. That is why your Free T3 shows higher in the range than Free T4. Since your tests were likely done before the full effect of the T4 in your meds, you might want to wait for 6 weeks or so after the last dosage increase, to allow time for the T4 to be fully reflected in your meds. Also, since T4 converts to T3, it may have an effect on your Free T3 level and symptoms, as well.
So although you seem to need more T3 to relieve symptoms, you may want to be a bit patient about any med increase at this time. When tested again, if your Free T3 continues too low to relieve symptoms, and your Free T4 remains below the middle of the range, then at that time you might want to pursue an increase in the Armour and the addition of a T4 med as well.
Please keep in mind what I wrote previously about good thyroid doctors, and on your first visit to a new doctor you should find out very clearly if he is going to be willing to treat you clinically as described in the letter, and also willing to continue to prescribe Armour Thyroid.
Just got my official antibody test back.
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies: 248 IU/ml Range (0-34)
Thyroid Antithyroglobulin Antibodies: 27 IU/ml Range (0-40)
Previous Tests:
TSH: .07 (.27-4.2)
FT4: .86 (.93-1.7)
FT3: 3.4 (2.0-4.4)
Been on 150 mgs(90 morning 60 afternoon) of armour for over 6 weeks now. I dont understand one antibody test being abnormal and the other one being normal. Is it Hashis or not. Also Dont understand why tsh and ft4 are both low. I am changing endos with my first visit next week and would like to get some good feedback before I go.. Thank you very much

Thanks Barb. As soon as the nurse couldnt pronounce the test I asked if she could send me a copy and they are on the way. I will post them accurately when received.
From what I can tell, she must have been reading antibody tests; Thyroglobulin Antibodies, at 27, with a range of 0-40 means your result is within the range, therefore considered negative.
The peroxidase reading is most likely Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPOab) with a result of 248 (range 0-34) is high, indicating that you have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
I'm only "supposing" here, because there is no "antigloban" test, and peroxidase is an enzyme necessary for the production of thyroid hormones and is rarely tested.
You really need to get a copy of the lab report, so you can clarify the tests. Once you do that, we can be more sure of what we're telling you.
