As promised my new blood test results

Ok all, well first of all I would like to sing a little song...Here we go around the mulberry bush, the mulberry bush.....That's how I feel right now! Ok on to business....

All tests taken on 15 Oct 2008
TSH 0.07
Free T4 24.7
Free T3  4.5
Previous tests were 19 Aug 2008 as follows;
TSH 0.05
Free T4 22.2
Free T3  4.6
Australian lab ranges are TSH 0.35-5.50 yes they still use the old scale in some pathologies!..T4 9.0-25.00 T3 3.5-6.5
Can someone inform me what the Free T4 and Free T3 ranges are in US, I'd appreciate it!
Dosage was 11.4.3mcgs for 12 weeks prior to August test and same dose prior to Oct test.
   My PTH was 1.7 (lab range 1.5 - 7.1)
Vit D 143 (60-160) Yippeeeee! was down at 33 in May 08
Sodium was up at 147 (135-145) which has an alert for the doctor to talk to me about...This was a blood test not a urine test...I never add salt or eat anything salty! Do crave it like heck though...sigh....
Calcium was marginally better than previous tests (due to taking Vit D and a bazillion tablets a day of calcium) 2.25 corrected calcium level. Previously was 2.09 (2.10 -2.60)
Oh these were the ones I knew would be good...
TPO  195(<60)
TG     79
Previous in July 07 prior to TT in Dec but after removal of Left thyroid in May
TPO 1468 (<60)
TG  109

Had a million other tests but was obvious they are totally realistically normal. Not any where near menopausal (hooray!) High Vit B12 which is a first for me! Yippeeee...Cholesterol gone down coz of taking anti-cholesterol tablets..again yippeee Iron was a little low but I expected that as I had run out of ferrous sulphate a few days before the test.

So then...WHY THE BLEEPING HECK DO I FEEL SO BLEEPING LOUSY?
Nausea, extreme fatigue to the point I feel like I can collapse in the shops when I have to stand too long, losing weight quite fast now, aaaaargh!

Still have to wait 3 weeks to see the endo. Man!, I am sooooo fed up with being told I am with in the normal ranges

I wonder if the PTH is classed as low?

Sigh....oh well back to my going outside and eating worms...woe is me......

Free T tests in the U.S. use many different ranges.

A Free T4 range is often around 0.6-1.7

Free T3 limits are often about 2.3-4.8, sometimes expressed as 230-480.

But they vary.

Doesn't help with your problem, but you asked...

there are a few self test things that you can do on stopthethyroidmaddness.com , just go to those darn adrenals page.

If you are craving salt that is a BIG CLUE : Your adrenals are probably suffering . You should get your doc to test your cortisol levels . You can order one yourself online, you may have to pay additional shipping since it looks like you are outside USA, but it really would be worth it to find out what your adrenal function looks like.  It is a cortisol spit test, if you type that in several labs will come up that offer it.

Ok .. Yes, I see you are thyroid meds .. I thought so.

I know they are looking for almost total supression but maybe they need to look @ quality of life in addition to the supression.

That is my take on the post for TSH values.  I'm not good at the other T3, T4 #'s, etc.

I'm sure others will jump in.

I've forgotten .. are you on thyroid meds?  If so, maybe your TSH is not the right range and causing the symptoms even though they = normal rqange?   If I had a TSH of the # here are my symptoms

word retrieval
extremely high anxiety
jitters/jittery feelig for now reason
heart palps
concentration issues
memory issues
insomnia

Those are my list at TSH 0.7 rounded up (0.667) on 100mcgs synthroid.  All are gone at 1.8
