Hypo with normal test results?

Hi,

I'm currently going through an endless diagnosis game with a rheumatologist but when i think about all of my symptoms i keep coming back to hypothyroidism. he keeps putting me on all these antidepressants and stuff and they just make me feel so much worse. i do have two nodules on my thyroid but they want to wait a few months to do the FNA bc they are smallish...

i was just wondering how many people have had normal bloodwork but turned out to have hypo or hashi?

my results were:

TSH, 3rd gen: 1.96 miu/l
t4, free: 1.2 ng/dl
t3, total: 175 ng/dl
thyroglobulin antibodies: <20 iu/ml
thyroid peroxidase antibodies: <10 iu/ml

Hypo symptoms would most often are related to having a Free T3 that is too low in the range.  You need to be tested for Free T3, not total T3.  The other possibility, that occurs infrequently, is having elevated Reverse T3.   It would be a good idea to also be tested for Reverse T3 as well.
