Spotting on Cytomel

I've been taking 6.25mcg cytomel for the last week or so, along with my 100mcg synthroid. I finally had a period for the first time in a year this month, but this week I'm spotting. Is that normal or does that mean I have too much T3? I finally have some energy too so I'd hate to think I have to lower my T3 meds.

It could be the inflammation, rather than the cytomel causing the problem.

I may just not be able to tolerate it, even at a small dose. I'm having a lot of inflammation in my thryoid and sinuses, which is what happened on the higher doses as well. I'm not sure what this means as my last labs showed my FT3 on the low end of normal. So I do need more T3, but maybe I just can't tolerate it in the pure form?

I can't answer your question - I haven't heard that cytomel would affect that way.  I'm on it, but past menopause ---- sorry, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who might be able to help.
