In order to try and give you any insight into those numbers we really need more input from you. First why were you being tested for thyroid? What, if any, symptoms so you have? What are the reference ranges shown on the lab report for those test results? Are you taking any thyroid medication currently?
What symptoms do you have, if any? Reference range shown on the lab report for the Free T4 result? What did the doctor say about the goiter and nodules?
In trying to assess a person's thyroid status, the most important consideration is always symptoms. If there are symptoms that occur more frequently with hypothyroidism, like those you have, then the doctor needs to further evaluate by biochemical testing. the tests that should be done are
I don't know why my comment posted before I completed it. Anyway the additional tests that should be done are Free T3, Reverse T3, cortisol, Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin. Also, since you have the nodules, you should test for the autoimmune antibodies related to Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Those tests are Thyroid Peroxidase antibodies (TPO ab) and Thyroglobulin antibodies (TG ab). From those tests you can determine if Hashi's is causing the nodules and also if you are low in Free T3, or have a low Free T3 to Reverse T3 ratio, or have deficiencies in the other areas. Do you think you can get those tests done?
What was the reference range shown for the cortisol? The ferritin is way too low. It needs to be at least 100, so you need to supplement with a good iron supplement like Vitron C, or ferrous bisglycinate, or ferrous fumarate, or ferrous sulfate.
Do you think you can get the other tests done?
I have been on iron supplements for years
Apparently you were not taking enough iron, or not absorbing it well. You need ferritin > 100. What about the other questions?
What about getting the other tests I listed as important? Also, what was the reference range shown on the lab report for the cortisol test?
You listed your cortisol test result as .6, with a range of 6 - 18.4. Did you really mean .6, or was that an error?
Then the first thing you need to do is call your doctor now and ask him if that can really be a correct result. If it is you need to be on cortisol med right away and get that regulated. Then the other issues can be addressed.
You are very welcome. Please keep us tuned in on your progress.
