thyroid abs in teen - does it need to be treated

My 13 year old son has recently undergond tyroid testing and his labs were as follows:
tg antibody 588.0
tpo antibody 84,8
free t4 1.7

the doctor said he did not need medication.  he is overweight and does not eat that much, suffers from some depression, has no energy, his skin is dry and he has trouble focusing (which they attribute to add)
Do you agree he does not need medication.
I, his mother, take synthroid for an underactive throid.

Forgot to say - if his Free T4 is at the top of it's range - putting him on even a low dose could send him into hyper.

Do you know what the lab range for the Free T4 was?  Labs use different ranges, so it's hard to know where he falls in the range.  His TSH is good.  Do you know if there was a Free T3 run?

The antibodies are high - did the doctor mention Hashimoto's Thyroiditis?  Has he had an ultra sound?  He might benefit from a very low does to try to eliminate his symptoms.
