About your neck and other Fibro pain:
Fibro patient benefit greatly from accupressure or otherwise called trigger point release. (Not to be confused with accupuncture.)
Ditch the chiro and find a Physical therapist or deep tissue massager that knows what trigger point release is. I learned it myself, as I was one with a lot of muscle tightening pain from Hashimoto - not all get that. There are books on this too - I recomend checking out the trigger point therapy work book by Clair Davis.
Yes, it is more of a static sound and it is on my left side. I've never had this before I took hydrocortisone and/or Cytomel. I am going to an ENT doctor Thursday.
That is interesting about the left side being closest to the heart. I've had neck pain for 25 years. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I have jaw pain also. The pain is a burning pain and it is the same type of pain no matter where it settles in. I have a lot of pain around the collar bone. My husband presses on the muscles around the collar bone and that relieves the neck pain. It took a lot of years to figure that one out. The back of my head on the left side is very sore right now. I think I need to stay away from the chiropractor. I have been going to him for 3 years. I am thinking I should just leave my neck alone.
"just wondering if anyone else has had the buzzing, ringing in ears and any neck pain."
- very common here with hypo thyroid.
Ear buzzing more common than ringing. Ear pounding, drumming , beating pulse comming from neck artery and heard in left ear common (closer to heart).
Common thought on the neck pain - inflamed body tissue can spread inflammation.
All of this can be relieved in most after meds and levels are sustained.
I find the buzzing in ears interesting, I have the same thing on my left side, I asked the Doctor when they did my biospys last week, he said my blood pressure was a little high, for a person who has always had low blood pressure, that day I had a migrane, and it was 130/88 but has come down since, just wondering if anyone else has had the buzzing, ringing in ears and any neck pain.
Did you have ringing before the cytomel also?
There are a few members that have the ringing. Some say it went away when on proper dose for awhile.
Buzzing or ear 'beats' in time with pulse is more common, and minimize after dose is leveled.
