Sick of hearing tests are normal and lets wait and see.

I am so frustrated with being told tests etc are normal but feel like cr*p and on another thread it has been suggested for me to have tests for Hashimoto due to my symptoms of 20+ years.

Does anyone have a GP who is versed in this and willing to refer patients to specialists in the Adelaide (South Australia) area???

Just because thyroid test results are in the so-called "normal" range does not mean that is adequate for you.  Please post your thyroid test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report so members can better assess your status.  Also, please tell us about your symptoms.

I saw your comments on the other thread, so came here to see what you posted.

I can completely understand your frustration, if he wouldn't even give you a copy of labs. If you were in the U.S, the doctor would be required, by law, to give you a copy upon request; however, I don't know your laws there in Australia.  I guess that means he didn't test for thyroid antibodies, either?

Yes, you're going to need a different doctor; unfortunately, I don't have any names to give you for Australia.

Hi Barb135, yes you assume correct.  Wouldnt entertain the idea of any more tests, thus no antibodies ones done....

Essentially said it is either a virus or I'm a hypochondriac that needs psychological help. >:(
