Have you seen your doctor?  You may need to have an endoscopy of your esophagus.  The diagnostic test consists of light sedation while a tube with light and camera are advanced into your esophagus and stomach.  The doctor is able to see problems in real time and take biopsies and pictures.  You may have a diverticulum in your upper esophagus.  A diverticulum is a protruding pouch in the muscular wall of the esophagus that can trap pieces of swallowed food.  It always feels as if you have something stuck in your throat.  It is easily diagnosed and can be treated.
