let us know how it goes Amanda. Its tough over there with thyroid.
Hi, thanks for all the replys. My TSH which was previously high came back at 3.09 so after speaking to a doctor he has agreed to try to get the labs to test for FT3. Blood was sent off this morning, so fingers crossed the labs done refuse to do it. I did make sure that there was an explanation written on the blood sample as to why my doc was requesting it.
Just hope it comes back with something as I'm truly going bonkers!
Thanks again,
Amanda
ZRT labs has a blood spot and saliva test you can order. It may not be advanced as some straight forward blood lab clinic but if you are desperate - anything would be helpful.
I don't live in UK, and don't know your NHS, but there are some people on this forum, who have gotten this done.
If you have to go through all that trouble to get the test, do make sure you specify FREE T3, not just T3, or you might get total, which is obsolete and of little value.
Good luck...
You can get tested for T3, FT3 in UK. What to do is write or get doctor to write on lab
request Hyperthyroid or taking T3.
Lab will test it then.
Thanks, I'll take a look.
Are you now treated for T3 as well? Is it true that if you go private and you do need T3 drugs the NHS will provide them and you will get tested for T3 in the future on the NHS?
Thanks again,
Amanda

I live in the UK and the NHS would not test anything for me either, so I went private and my Dr. tests T3 and T3, etc.
