felt good untill told i was overmedicated

Why would I be told I was overmedicated on 175mg when I was finally feeling great? I have since been dropped to 150mg and am starting to feel like a slug all over again. Not liking it at all.

You need to post your results of the last blood panel if you can get them right away. Your TSH will be something to look at. In addition to the T3 and T4

It will be a big help to get them.

Lots of doctors look at you as a "number" instead of a "symptom free" patient - SO if your TSH was slightly below the "norm" that is why your physician switched your meds.

If you post those labs that will help anyone here get a clearer understand on your situation.

Thank you,but what should the numbers actually be? Like you, I gave the blood and took the pill ever since I was diagnosed at 6 mos. old.    Thank you  thepeej6

Did you ask what your tsh level was at your last check?  I know for years I took thyroid medication and never even once asked my doc what my tsh was, I had no idea. I just gave the blood and took the pill.  When, after 14 years, my doc increased my meds they sent me a copy of the report. I was living comfortably with a tsh at 4.2 that increased to 4.8 when they upped my meds. According to my endo that number should be at 1.0. I don't know why they mess with it when you are feeling fine. I never felt like I had any problems with it being over 4 but apparently that is not acceptable in the medical world. I'm assuming it messes with other parts of your body but I have no idea. I would ask for your numbers and see what they look like.
