Sick of being told I'm a hypochondriac

I have a question and I hope someone can just give me some opinions. I've recently started having alot of bright red blood in my stool. I've been to my doctor and have had a colonoscopy and they told me the I have a very small internal hemroid. Now I know it's normal when you have a hemroid to have a little bit of blood in the stool but I feel like there is just way too much to be from one small hemroid. So how much is too much? I've also recently started feeling nauseous and fatigued all the time. Now if I am being a hypochondriac by all means tell me but I'm 24, and it's really freaking me out and if I go to my Dr I know she'll just tell me it's from the hemroid. I want to get a second Dr opinion on it but I don't want to waste my time if I'm just being paranoid. Thank you.

You might also ask the doctor to order iron, TIBC (total iron binding capacity) and ferritin blood levels, as these can be abnormal before it ever shows up with an abnormal hemoglobin & you can have symptoms even if your hemoglobin is in normal range when your iron level is low.  I know from experience.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Even a small hemorrhoid can bleed a lot, especially if the blood vessel is too superficial. Also since the blood falls with a splash in hemorrhoids, it scares the wit out of a person. There are hemorrhoidal creams available in the market which you can apply. Sit in a tub of warm water for 10 mins at least twice a day. Increase fiber in your diet. Eat lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, oats, porridge etc.
IBS and dysentery are the other possibilities that may or may not be associated. Since you are nauseous too, you should look at IBS too. Fatigue is expected with daily blood loss. Get your hemoglobin and stool test done.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
