mild burning in urethra

Hello, I am a 20 year old healthy male with no history of urology problems. Recently i have had a constant, mild burning / irritation in my urethra since i last masterbated. It's been about 4 days. I have been drinking a lot of water and staying very hydrated. I only masterbate about 1 time a week and this feeling has never persisted. the burning does not get worse when i urinate, so i do not think it is a UTI.  Oh and it is not an STD... and yes I am sure. (i am shy) any suggestions?

Hi, it inside, kind of hard to pinpoint exactly, but closer to the tip yes. And I have been using a liquid soap, could this be the cause? Thanks for the response...

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Was the burning inside the urethra or outside near the tip? It could be due to an irritation of the area due to manipulation. Have you been using lotion or soaps ?

Observe your symptoms. Continue to drink adequate amounts of water and refrain from manipulating the area as this may aggravate your symptoms. A baseline urinalysis may help just to rule any underlying infection.
