Pain/Potential Nerve Damage after Masterbation?

Hi All,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to help with my problem.

Two days ago, I masterbated, ejaculating when penis wasn't perfectly hard. This was unusual for me, as I have a perfectly functioning penis. But I guess I was rough to bring to climax, even though I wasn't meaning to be.

Because it wasn't perfectly hard, I felt a strange, yet slight to moderate pain on the left hand side of the penis, about a cm or two beneath the head. I have never experienced this and continued to feel pain for the next day.

Today, it has hurt less. I don't feel discomfort with every day life, but do feel pain when touching it, so have refrained from masterbating, doing it only once to ensure I still can and everything was fine. Despite the pain remaining, it wasn't so painful when masterbating.

My problem is that it still hurts when touching and doesn't feel as sensitive as the other side, or rather as pleasurable perhaps. Maybe this is because of the pain. The pain itself feels reasonably sharp, but doesn't spread throughout the penis.

I know I don't have any STDs as I have been checked and got a negative and never had sex since.

What did I do? Have I permanently damaged tissue or a nerve? Can you please advise? I'd prefer not to go to the Doctors until I know that I absolutely have to.

I have been unwell over Christmas, with a single moment of vomiting which caused a haemorrhage in my eyes. The Doctor said I strained too much and I've since had a blood test but no results as yet. I really think the two things are separate of one another. But thought I would provide additional info.

Thank you for your help.

really need help! I was masturbating one day. all of a sudden, I lost my erection and my penis just, kinda, fell down. I ejaculated with a minimum erection. since then, my erections are soft, less, and I am less horny. I used to masturbate 2, sometimes 3 times PER DAY. Is the problem due to high frequency?my penis looks worn out and loose.. it looks different..it has become more compressible and soft.. no bruise, no pain,no swelling, no change in scrotal temperature .. . MAYBE A LITTLE NUMBNESS.. left side of penis's skin seems a little numb, and loose... please help me.. please help me!! I gotto know whats going on...

Hi Bhupinder,

I realise that I have had psychological stress due to a high workload, as well as illness over Christmas, which involved one instance of vomiting violently with a consequential haemorrhage in the eyes, which happens in children mostly.

During the time this time is when the pain occurred when masturbating with a slightly flacid penis. After the pain subsided in the two days that followed, I continued to masturbate quite happily following a five day hiatus. But then the dorsal vein (the superficial one I believe) began to swell even further. I will provide a pic in my profile and add you as a friend Bhupinder... if you could take a look, I would really appreciate it.

Over the past few days, I have had a numbness in my right bum cheek, and this continued down my right leg... I have had physio for a back injury recently, and I think this is a direct result of this... rather than any sort of relation to my problem, but I'm just informing you incase you would consider otherwise.

Balantitis: The lump is nothing like the pics online, it is more of a watery substance that comes and goes, but the vein remains bulged and the purple vein next to it seems to ajoin itself to the dorsal vein... seemingly causing an issue? I've taken some anti inflammatories today, and I'm going to continue to do so for a week to see if this has any effect.

Prostatitis: I don't have any pain anywhere, except for the numbness that I've felt down my lower right side... which has since largely disappeared. I'm painless. The only feeling I have in the penis, is from the pleasure of moving my hand up and down the shaft, but even this doesn't excite me as much as previously, which could be because of the dorsal vein and the hard spot that is felt on it.

My right side of my penis seems to fill with more blood and becomes a lot harder than my left side too.

Bladder neck stones: Symptoms don't seem to match up.

Urethritis: I don't feel any urge to frequently visit the toilet.

Herpes: I've never been with anyone who has this... no spots or anything like that on my penis, and I've had a test for STIs that came back negative.

Peyronie's disease: I can't imagine that I have this, as my GP inspected my penis for this and said that it wasn't. Unless it's severely mild? My penis leans to the left, but only slight and only when erect. Otherwise, it's largely central.

Penis cancer: Hopefully not! :/ None of my symptoms match this.

I am going away in a week's time... I'm tempted to ask my GP to book me an appointment with a urologist for after I return.

Could this be a case of an inflamed lympnodes/lymphocele? Giving the appearance that the vein is quite swollen? And if so, does that affect your sensitivity/libido? I will upload an image now and hopefully you can see when I add you as a friend.

Thank you Bhupinder... hopefully my post can help you to suggest further what it might be... as you can imagine, I've had a very stressful month. I've given up with masturbation for five days and I don't feel any great sense of need to have an orgasm... besides my penis feeling more sensitive. I rarely have an erection in the morning, or throughout the day... I used to have both frequently before Christmas. Such a strange turn of my biological self. I've not drank alcohol for 6 weeks and I'm not a smoker, I live a reasonably healthy lifestyle, with exercise and I am currently trying to eat more green vegetables as a result of lack folate acid in my diet.

Thanks Bhupinder!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
There is nothing wrong with you and loss of sex drive is also due to psychological stress. If the repeat happens then get it evaluated from a urologist. Excessive manipulation can sometimes lead to pain. Other causes are balanitis, prostatitis, bladder neck stone, urethritis, herpes, peyronie’s disease or penis cancer. Get all these causes ruled out from a urologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Can anyone help with this?

After a week, the pain has resided and completely disappeared, but my sex drive has lowered (probably because I'm thinking about it too much), but perhaps because I damaged nerves there? It feels a little number on the left hand side than the right hand side.

I'm obviously looking for a reinforcement that all will be fine, but I'm worried that I've lost sensitivity and won't regain 100% sensitivity as per usual. I don't frequently masterbate, mostly once a day, sometimes not at all, and potentially on weekends two or three times! :/ please help with what it could have been and why I currently feel this...
