yes!
It helps.
I am never 100% accurate but it gives me an idea of what I am eating and the calories associated with a particular food.  Makes me stop and think do I really want to eat that?  If I do, I know it will cost me time in the pool.

I have one knee replaced.  Other knee has 1 ACL missing.  I have sciatic nerve pain and bursitis in my hips.  When I swim laps almost ally pain goes away.
I started at 264.  I am down to 233 (was down to 223) but they closed our pool for 6 months and 16lbs regained and all my pain was back.
I have been back in the pool for 3 weeks have lost 5.2 lbs.  And feel great.
I go swimming (laps, walk across pool, weight belt do jumping jacks in deep end) I don't do the jazzersize as I move more than them by doing laps.  Costs less too! And I get to swim longer.  I ago for 2-3.5 hrs every day or every other day depending on my schedule.

if you used this app correctly you can enter in your current weight and what your target weight is in it will let you know how many calories a day you need to burn or eat. And I would also suggest that you do some water aerobicsbecause that would really help out your legs. I hope this helps.
