There's a tricky thing about love sometimes because the hardest thing to do sometimes is to learn to love yourself first! You're taking a good step in the right direction. Unfortunately most foods you get at the supermarket really are not good for you. Soda, chips, candy, boxed foods... really are not good for you. Especially if you're trying to watch your figure!
Start with looking at what you're eating. Vegetables, lean proteins like chicken and fish, and fruits are healthy choices. Also look at how much and how often you're eating. Try using smaller plates, it helps make your plate look full and helps with portion size. Also, don't go for seconds! If you get hungry between meals try some healthy snacks. (you can Google, healthy snack ideas for teens). Eat fresh fruit, not dried fruit.
Plan a walk after dinner. It will help stabilize your body's sugar levels so that its not stored as fat. Food that is taken in and it's converted to sugar and what is not used for energy is then stored as fat.
And so you don't feel deprived, plan yourself some 'free' time where you can have a nice treat for yourself once per week.
Good luck hun and don't forget to remind yourself... you are special, beautiful and you're worth it!

For starters, cut out all sugary drinks such as sodas. Eat more wholesome foods such as whole grains, vegetables and fruits. Substitute raisins, bananas, apples, and so on for bagged snack foods. Start a daily walk, working up to at least 30 minutes per day, whether outside or just inside from room to room.
