Sunday Weigh In - March 11, 2012

Good morning, everyone; sorry I'm so late getting this posted, but changing the time to daylight saving time really messed me up this morning and I'd made arrangements to walk with my neighbor early........ we've already been for a 5 mile walk and I've prepared lunch and got it in the oven to slow cook.

As far as my week is concerned, it hasn't been real bad, but has been a bit hectic.  There was relatives from out of town, to visit my aunt, which took a lot of time.  They left yesterday, so we will get back to normal until the next batch comes, if anyone else does.

I've done really well in the exercise department this week.  I've managed to do the 3-5 mile walk every day this week, in spite of some issues with my knees and left ankle. I bought some inexpensive knee braces to see how well they work, and will get some better ones, later on.

Food wise, I've also done pretty good.  Haven't stuck with the salads, etc, but have done very well with keeping portion sizes within reason.  I bought a couple of small plates and that's what I've been eating from; I keep my portions much smaller that way.

Weight-wise, things aren't changing a whole lot.  Once again, this week I've run the gamut from 144 lbs to 153 lbs, at different times.  I'm going to stay with last week's 147, because that's pretty much what I've "averaged" over the week and that's where I was this morning.

So - how about everyone else?  Hope you've all been able to reach whatever goals you've set for yourself.  Right now, my goal is to  maintain for a short time, then I'll try for another loss.

I have a new yoga dvd and I'm off to try it out!!

Remember: we win by losing - weight.

Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week.

Sorry to hear about that UTI - those things can be brutal. No gain, is good.

I have been on antibiotics for a very nasty UTI .. I am afraid to get on the scale .. hee hee hee ... but the good news is the new round of antibiotics have taken away my appetite, but I have to eat or else they are unsettled in my stomach.

Yeah I'm doing my best to go by feel and not stress. My dr says I need to be patient; work through one of my problems at a time, because the symptoms all overlap and confuse the answers. I guess that's how I know I'm still a kid at heart. Sometimes, I just want to have a temper tantrum and say, "No- I want to feel better now".  Not really socially acceptable when you're pushing 25 though. ^^. All well. Que sera, sera?

Sometimes we just have to stay in one place and work on other issues for a bit, before we can move forward.   Once you get some energy back, you'll be able to move on with working on losing weight.

I sometimes need a nap after I've done a lot of exercise, too.

The key is FEEL good.........  you're doing great.

Well this week had been interesting.

I had a steak, for the first time in a couple years and I didn't have a gallbladder attack! I decided a bit ago to hell with the caution, I want to feel normal. Now between my coconut milk smoothies, REAL yogurt (not yucky odd textured soy stuff), and once a week red meat, I feel alert for the first time in months. However, I'm also still having problems with physical energy (went on a walk with hubby and needed a nap afterwards), but at least I can think now and focus. It's done worlds of good for my mood (and my book list, read 4 books in the last week). Going back to the dr tomorrow to convince her, given my improved diet, it's not my low fat diet that is killing my energy. -Cross your fingers for me that something easy to fix will come up.

Exercise still needs improvement, but this week has had a lot of walking and autumn cleaning so I don't feel I did too badly there.

All added up, I'm still at the same place; nothing lost, nothing gained. But I'm feeling MUCH better, so it's hard to get too annoyed.
