Muscle isn't really "heavier than fat"... a pound is a pound, no matter what it's made of. It's just that muscle is denser than fat, so you can pack a lot more into a smaller space... compare it to a rock and feathers. You can have a relatively small rock that weighs a pound, but it takes a pretty big bundle of feathers to make a pound, because the feathers are all fluffy.
Always take your measurements before you start dieting/exercising, so you can see if you're building muscle to start with. You can also tell by the way your clothes fit.
It doesn't sound like you need to lose weight. You want to tone up. Add exercise in the form of yoga and strength training. Don't worry so much about the number on the scale. Muscle is heavier than fat, but will give you a smaller more toned physique.
How old are you? It doesn't sound like you need to lose a lot of weight. I would make the same suggestions for you as for 963003...
Be sure to add exercise to build strong muscles, as well.
you're very smart indeed.I'm 5'6, and I'm 66 kg. how should i lose my weight.?
I totally agree with avoiding the sugar and that includes sodas, including artificial sweeteners. The more processed the food is, the more you should stay away from it. Agree with Fruttibiscotti to eat lots of veggies, proteins and get plenty of the healthy fats, as she suggested.
Agree with Barb, 90 pounds seems too low. Be careful not to put yourself in the underweight or unhealthy category. Also agree with marytrp about avoiding sugar in your diet. Eat foods as close to how nature produced it -whole foods. Get a variety of vegetables (all the colours) as well as a variety of proteins (meat, fish, eggs). Also don't be shy with healthy fats, like avocado, olive oil, nuts, coconut oil, etc.
Yoga is the best workout that you can do......there's yoga that's specifically for weight loss, toning, strengthening, relaxation, pacific areas of your body (abs) & core body (full)
90 lbs is not enough for someone who is 5'2" tall to weigh. You might have a muffin top and love handles, but you don't weigh too much. Try doing some yoga to trim up and strengthen the muscles; you'll be able to get rid of the muffin top. Swimming is also excellent exercise, so it won't take long to firm up.
Start eating healthy and avoid sugar. I dont thing that you have to lose weight. You have to burn fat.if you start running/walking/cycling for 30-60 min at least 3 times a week you will burn fat from everywhere. You will lose fat from muffin top, love handles, tummy, legs, arms etc. For any extra question or advice send me a message.
hope i can help.
