Thank you from me too Niko, It does make a difference when you hear it from real people, who knows if we should believe the advertisement we see on TV at best it’s questionable.
Thanks for that advice Niko. I'm definitely gonna try that. And I'm glad I could help thenewme121. It seems to be easier to do when you get support from real people and not just stuff you see on tv.
Thank you Jomymomy for the information I need to have surgery but it’s not healthy for me to have with a BMI over 30. I'm collecting and using all the weight loss advice I can get. Thanks again
Hey jomymomy.
Welcome to the forum.
I know what you mean.
Don't blame yourself.
It goes like this: You want to lose. You did it before.
So your mind agrees.
So you kinda try this and that again, and not much happens.
You lose the motivation.
Next thing you know, poof!, you're back to where you had started
and worse. Because now you're beating yourself up for not sticking with it,
you wanna justify to yourself that you don't deserve success, so you find yourself overeating unfulfilling junk, to cover up all those negative feelings.
And then, you feel worse again.
There's a stronger part of you that controls your success or rather LACK of success at this point! It's called the Subconscious.
It's where you hold your core beliefs, your programs and your stored memories and emotions.
To enter the subconscious and make changes, it requires delicate work.
You can go to YouTube and search for a Meditation video with binaural beats. Practising meditation daily on your issues, will help you overcome them much easier, over time.
You can also go with Hypnotherapy for a professional approach to make changes to the subconscious. A good hypnotherapist would be able to uncover your underlying issues and help you clear them, efficiently,
leading to successful weight loss. (It's not called weight loss in hypnotherapy-it's called "shedding pounds")
Let me know if you need more details.
Cheers!
Niko
I had my thyroid checked too and it was a no-go there. I checked with my doctor and she told me to make a list of negative and positive reasons for why i want to lose weight and keep it with me every where i go. If i feel like giving in, i just pull it out and look at it. I was also told to carry around a picture of me at my heaviest and a picture of me or someone that i want to look like to remind myself my goal. Mayhw it'll help you too.
I am having the very same problem as you, and it is not because I'm over eating because I’m not, it seems if I eat a small portion of lettuce I still gain weight. I go to the doctor this week I’m having my doctor check my thyroid gland. For me I stay motivated by knowing if I don't lose weight I'm giving up on life. I'm 200 pounds being obese can kill me.
