Sunday Weigh In - Dec 19,, 2010

Okay, folks, another week has come and gone; we're getting closer to Christmas and I'm sure most of you are making the rounds of parties or other gatherings.

As of Friday, I am officially on my Christmas break from work; will go back on Jan 3.  I have a ton of stuff to get done over the next 2 weeks, so will be on the move most of the time.  I'm hoping that will prove to be a good thing.

Last week, 150; this week 150.  I am managing to maintain my weight, but not at the level I had intended.  For some reason I jumped from 146 to 150, a few weeks ago and while I'm maintaining at 150, that wasn't my goal; however, I can't seem to get back down.

Our dept secretary graced us with all kinds of "goodies" on Friday - chocolate cake, a chocolate spice cake, cookies, crackers, cheeses, banana nut muffins, english muffins, bagels, complete with cream cheese, jelly and margarine.  While I did stick with an english muffin, a few crackers and a couple of cheese slices, I'm absolutely positive that none of those things was low/no fat.

I'm hoping that my activities and better cooking over the break will help me get back to what I was when we started our "maintain" challenge, and that I will, then be able to maintain.

How is everyone else doing?  Are you staying at the level you wanted?  If so, are you doing something particular to manage that?  If you aren't maintaining at your goal, do you know why?  We are here to celebrate your success or help through the rough times.

Your turn.................

Remember:  there are no failures; only set backs.

Yay to kimmit -- you are making progress............ keep going, you will be an inspiration to us all.

Welcome back Athena - congratulations on your baby; sorry about the ankle surgery, but glad it's mending.  The exercise bike should be a good thing for you, along with the Progresso soup.

Don't feel badly about not doing well on Weight Watchers - not everyone does well with that type of diet.

Consider us all friends.........

Hi, I am rejoining you all.

I just had a baby 8 months ago and I just had ankle surgery 2 months ago.  My ankle is better so now I am walking a lot.  I gained 23 pounds during my pregnancy, but I weighed 180 when I was pregnant.  I am 5'2.

I just lost 10 pounds, so my weigh in today is 190.

Can you believe I lost weight after I stopped Weight Watchers?  I was on Weight Watchers for 2 weeks and I was so miserable.  Counting those points and feeling like I was starving was awful.  I did it for two weeks and only lost half a pound!

I tend to lose weight during the winter time because I drink hot tea, hot chocolate and I eat more Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup.

I am not eating fast food anymore due to no money.  I guess I have a mixed blessing.

My ankle doctor wants me to use my exercise bike for 30 minutes 5 times a week.  I am also planning on doing some bellydance workouts this week.

I hope to make friends here and lose weight with you all.

like Barb135 said, "there are no failures, only setbacks"

so last week i was a bit upset because i had gained, and weighed in at 221.5, that was +2 pounds from the previous week, but that was actually below my maintain weight 223-225.

Well, i almost couldn't believe my eyes this morning, the scale said 214.5! so 7 pounds gone this week. i have been going almost nonstop all week long for christmas shopping and all other sorts of errands. i am super hyped. and i have dropped 2 pant sizes, went from 18 to 14, and went from XXL in Tshirts to L. trying on clothes is so much more fun now, and i liked 6/6 of the clothes i tried on. which is very rare for me! I started at 242.5 on Oct. 15th. I am very proud of myself :)

I'm very sorry you've been having such a tough time, but I'm relieved to hear that things may be easing, if only temporarily.  You do not owe me an apology.

Because of the stress involved - both Christmas and weight loss - I'm going to wait until after Christmas before attempting anything in the weight loss dept.

I will look forward to the "daily thought" again.  I don't always comment on them, but I do enjoy them.

Hope you have a wonder break.

I am still the same and like you not where i want to be, things here are starting to settle down again and peace and normal life are starting to resume, as this rarley last long, i have learnt to cherish and apprieciate the normality for as long as it last,
I break up wednesday for the christmas break,
I need to seriously look at where i am at and where i want to be and to reavaluate my life, I am tempted to wait till the holidays are over, but the longer i leave it the harder it will be,
I want to apologies to Barb for the fact that i havent been any use to her at all,
I am really sorry,
The one thing i am going to start again as of now is the daily thought as these also helped me stay focused,
Good luck everyone
good luck everyone
