What do you binge eat?
I think much of the problem (which thankfully is no longer my problem), is having temptation at hand (along with giving in to temptation, forming the habit, and finding the habit is Really Hard to Break).
An early step towards solving the problem of binge eating for me was to stop having my favourite foods in the house (& going down to the local grocers for one, small amount to bring home). An imperfect solution as I'd binge eat regular food at times, but still, it was one of many steps that were helpful.
Start by figuring out what makes you binge eat. Then, when you feel like that or the triggering thing happens, (for me the trigger was social pressure on my life) decide now what you will do instead. Don't just try to stop binge eating; fill the gap with something else like journaling, weight lifting, cleaning the house, calling a friend or making a craft. These activities can replace binge eating and have benefits of their own. I hope that was helpful!
