You can't just pick a number of calories to eat, based on someone elses experience. It needs to be calculated, based on your age, height, current weight and activity level. If you'll let us know your activity level, I'll help you calculate your calorie needs.
If you drop too many calories, your body will hang onto present fat stores (this is called starvation mode), because it believes there's not enough food coming in, and you won't lose weight.
As you drop weight, you will also be able to drop your calorie requirements.

It depends on how active you are.
I would suggest 1800 -2000ish + execrcise 30 mins+ 3/week.
Hopefully that would allow you to loose initially maybe three/four pound in your first few weeks and then approx a steady 2lb- 1kg per week after - which is a healthy amount per week.
Good luck.
