help443 - I was on Medifast a long time ago when they offered only liquid meal replacements and that program is not one I could recommend. It was not realistic in sustaining a life-long weight loss program and it was dangerous and had to be monitored by a physician with constant bloodwork to watch your electrolytes. If your electrolytes get out of balance, you can be in imminent danger.
The new Medifast program, I believe, has meals and I am not familiar with it. It is something I would research greatly before beginning.
Personally, I elected to count calories, eat a balanced diet and implement moderate exercise knowing this is the way I would need to sustain my myself for a lifetime. It, along with our support community, is what made the difference. Hope you will consider joining us here where we do the personal work to make these changes in a team atmosphere of support, information, encouragement and motivation.
Hayes714 - As for a plateau, they can be difficult and frustrating. They are, however, part of the cycle of weight loss. Here's some information I posted in my journal.
http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/40803 I'll be making a Health Page soon regarding this. Hope this helps and looking forward to hearing how you're doing.
Ms Lucinda - Thank you for the excellent advice!
Very best wishes ..
