Hi there. Welcome. What kind of suppositories are you speaking of? That sounds like an extreme reaction. I'd take some Benadryl to see if it helps and consult a doctor. good luck
I have multiple food allergies. I have to get all of my pills and medications compounded without the things I am allergic to. That being said, my system was a bit out of balance and I had yeast while on vacation in another country ... I took the three day version of Monistat and reacted to it (swelling , pain etc, ) but it did clear up my yeast and the pain went away as soon as I stopped taking it.
Yes you might be reacting to a non-medicinal ingredient in the suppository.
Have you ever had an allergy blood panel done? Costs maybe $300 and they test for over 400 foods and spices and allergens. Ya never know until you have a bad reaction to something.... Why not find out ? In my case saved my life (anaphylactic) . All of a sudden I started reacting to something (swelling in my face) and the very next time I ate it a month later I ended up in hospital.
Discontinue the suppository until you have a chance to speak to your Dr. They may have another brand you can try
