BV is bacterial vaginosis. It's an infection. BV has very similar symptoms to yeast infections, however BV never goes away on it's own, and there are no over the counter drugs that can be bought to cure BV.
I would suggest to go in and see your doc immediatly, he/she can do a simple sample that can determine if it is BV, and if so, then prescibe you the right antibiotics.
Also, I've had BV before but the antibiotics weren't working, and my doctor suggested that my boyfriend also take the antibiotics, and I haven't had an infection since.
It's because more people are finding that the infection is being caused by the bacteria their partner is introducing into their vagina. So I would suggest that also if it's possible in your situation.
Also, in case you're younger and in the situation of your parents don't know you are sexually active, don't fret. BV can be caused by many other factors such as bad hygeine, not changing underwear enough, wiping incorrectly, and even using a body wash that your body doesn't interact with well.
But for sure go in and see your doc so you can get what you need!
Good luck and Best wishes! :)

sounds like you may have BV and if you do then you need to go to a doctor and get mediciate to help get rid of it. It would be too early to tell if you had an std. I believe there are over the counter test you can buy to test for bv and yeast infections im not sure how good the otc meds are so id go to the clinic and get some stuff from them
