Is it normal to bleed?

My boyfriend and I are sexually active. Our first time, we were both virgins, I did not bleed, I know not everyone bleeds but it was a little concerning to me. But last week I had my period and we had sex. We were using a condom and it had broke, he got a new one and we kept going on. When I got home, my blood flow had basically temporarily stopped and I didn't think nothing of it because that happens usually. The next morning it had started again, I put in a tampon and continued with my day. When I took it out it was partially dry and I kept it in for 4-5 hours. On my tampon though was a piece of the condom. Later on I tried to find out if there was any pieces of the condom still left in me, none. My period stopped but it felt uncomfortable and I kept on queeffing ( I don't know how to spell this). We had sex recently and everything was fine but when he pulled out he told me I was bleeding. I ran to the bathroom to clean up, I peed and it was mainly blood. I don't have the uncomfortable feeling anymore, like I don't feel blocked. But I'm just worried. Is it normal to bleed during sex if you haven't before? He has gotten bigger because he is still growing, could he have torn something? Or did he hit something right and it caused my blood flow to start up again? I'm just a little nervous right now. I'm 17, my mother doesn't know I have had sex yet because I don't know if I should tell her or how to tell her. Should I ask her to take me to see a gynecologist? I'm sorry I'm just very confused right now.
