Large female pubic bone.

This was a comment I found and I HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME THING! I need to know how I can correct this! You have no idea the suffering we go through on a day to day basis looking like you have a male part instead of a female anatomy. I don't feel like a complete woman. I cannot wear sexy underwear and don't get me started on what wearing a swimsuit feels like or anything that's tight, so I'm always wearing things that are baggy and I'm soooooooooooooo tired of it. My Gynecologist says it normal, WHAT????????????!!!!!!!!! It's not normal for a female to have a LARGE bone sticking out! Believe me, you would not want to be me....
There has to be a surgical proceedure to reduce the bone there, so we can feel like women again.
See below...

when i started discovering my body as a young girl, i realized something different from everyone elses. my vagina looks really bony. when i lay down flat, my pelvic bone is protruding out. even standing up, i can see a big bump. more than normal from what i have seen. i have been told by friends "oh you have big vagina" and it really bothers me. i am embarrassed to be intimate. i did research but didnt come across anything. i'm 25 now and am still embarrassed to go to a doctor. i dont know what the problem really is. i used to crack my lower back, i dont know if that would do anything to it? but i dont feel any pain or anything. just physically, its very different, bony, and embarrassing from what i see. i've been told by several family members " are you wearing a pad" because its that noticeable. i know that if it was from birth, my mom would notice. because now they tell me things like you have fat, big, vagina. i really need to do something about it, but need to know what? and need to know what the problem really is and what may have caused it? and what kind of doctor i should see. and how i should explain it. please answer my questions asap. i cant take it anymore, and i find it embarrassing to share it w/ anyone else.

Hi, just found this thread and signed up to say I have this too!  Can I ask a question of you ladies..? When you have a pap smear, does your gyno say that your cervix is facing towards your back a bit, or a lot? My cervix certainly doesn't face straight down as it should. I think its all connected. Then I remember once I saw a chiropractor who took an X-ray of my spine and looked at me like I was an alien when he saw the X-rays, he said something about a deformity in my spine. I'm certainly glad I'm not alone, as I always thought I was. I remember being a child and bathing with a  friend and if we were laying down in the bath tub, my bone stuck right out, whereas my friend's didn't. I've been self-conscious about it for a long, long time. I'm almost 51, Australian, and have given birth 3 times.

Well I’m currently 16 and remember noticing it when I was about 13, and being a teenage girl in 2020 and having this isn’t what I would call fun. Like basically everyone else said, I haven’t worn pants since I was about 12-13 so I stick to shorts because it is less noticeable but it’s really starting to get to me. Obviously cause I’m 16 I can’t and most likely in the future won’t get plastic surgery because that just ain’t my thing but I am really hoping there is a way to fix it or at least reduce it. I use to think I was just because I was a little bit chubby but now that I have lost a bit of weight and I am starting to gain muscle I can tell that it’s ain’t fat or extra skin. And to make matters SOOO much funner, my mum isn’t the person to care about things like this so her response is “honey your beautiful” ...and it’s not really helpful, low key kinda makes me feel worse so if anyone has a non surgical fix to this, PEALSE tell me!! Thank you!

I’m 13 and I have this too. This completely ruins my self esteem. I never noticed I had it until around a year ago, when I started dance. We have to wear leotards and it is super obvious that my pubic bone is protruding. I can’t wear the clothing that I like because of this. I still wear leggings but I am super uncomfortable because when I look down, I can see a huge bump. One of the biggest problems it caused for me is when I do backbends and splits, the bump is VERY visible. I used to love doing backbends but now I am scared and embarrassed because I don’t want people noticing it. Also, when I lay on my back, it sticks out a ton. When I lay on my front, it hurts because it is sticking into the ground. My goal is to find some exercises or stretches I can do to reduce it. That’s all I want! Someone please help!

Hi there.  I by no means mean to minimize how you feel but can tell you as a person much older and been through a lot, that this is a non issue with men.  In fact, many men like it.  And the one you want to be with is the one who likes everything about you.  Wear a little less tight stuff if you think it is noticeable.  But if lots of folks are staring at your crotch, you need to find a new crowd to hang out with.  :>)  I have a 14 year old son and a 15 year old son.  Let me box their ears if they are staring at crotches when talking to a girl.  Seriously though, not even on their radar.  Not a big deal.  Again, not minimizing your feelings. But you are at a super self conscious age in which you think people are judging and watching you much more than they really are.  good luck

I used to think that I had a large pubic bone and could not wear any type of pants without having a shirt long enough to cover it. But one day, I was reading this article about the posterior pelvic tilt and exercises on how to correct it. I thought, why not give it a try? It's free and I don't have to go under the knife, so I really had nothing to lose. After 10 days, I could see a noticeable difference! It seemed like my pelvic is shifting inwards, so the bulge is not as noticeable anymore. For the first time in my life, I was able to wear slacks with my shirt TUCKED IN! It was such a great feeling! Don't get me wrong, there still is a slight bulge there, but I hope a few weeks more of these exercises will make it normal again. I can't wait to see the results!

The female pelvic bone has evolved to its maximum width for childbirth and the male pelvic bone has been optimized for bipedal locomotion.
