Large female pubic bone.

This was a comment I found and I HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME THING! I need to know how I can correct this! You have no idea the suffering we go through on a day to day basis looking like you have a male part instead of a female anatomy. I don't feel like a complete woman. I cannot wear sexy underwear and don't get me started on what wearing a swimsuit feels like or anything that's tight, so I'm always wearing things that are baggy and I'm soooooooooooooo tired of it. My Gynecologist says it normal, WHAT????????????!!!!!!!!! It's not normal for a female to have a LARGE bone sticking out! Believe me, you would not want to be me....
There has to be a surgical proceedure to reduce the bone there, so we can feel like women again.
See below...

when i started discovering my body as a young girl, i realized something different from everyone elses. my vagina looks really bony. when i lay down flat, my pelvic bone is protruding out. even standing up, i can see a big bump. more than normal from what i have seen. i have been told by friends "oh you have big vagina" and it really bothers me. i am embarrassed to be intimate. i did research but didnt come across anything. i'm 25 now and am still embarrassed to go to a doctor. i dont know what the problem really is. i used to crack my lower back, i dont know if that would do anything to it? but i dont feel any pain or anything. just physically, its very different, bony, and embarrassing from what i see. i've been told by several family members " are you wearing a pad" because its that noticeable. i know that if it was from birth, my mom would notice. because now they tell me things like you have fat, big, vagina. i really need to do something about it, but need to know what? and need to know what the problem really is and what may have caused it? and what kind of doctor i should see. and how i should explain it. please answer my questions asap. i cant take it anymore, and i find it embarrassing to share it w/ anyone else.

I used to think that I had a large pubic bone and could not wear any type of pants without having a shirt long enough to cover it. But one day, I was reading this article about the posterior pelvic tilt and exercises on how to correct it. I thought, why not give it a try? It's free and I don't have to go under the knife, so I really had nothing to lose. After 10 days, I could see a noticeable difference! It seemed like my pelvic is shifting inwards, so the bulge is not as noticeable anymore. For the first time in my life, I was able to wear slacks with my shirt TUCKED IN! It was such a great feeling! Don't get me wrong, there still is a slight bulge there, but I hope a few weeks more of these exercises will make it normal again. I can't wait to see the results!

The female pelvic bone has evolved to its maximum width for childbirth and the male pelvic bone has been optimized for bipedal locomotion.

I have it too. As a teen girl this makes my insecurities skyrocket. Afraid to be sexually active because I feel I will be judged or asked "why do you look like that?". It's absolutely terrifying. I hate having to do things like backends in yoga portion of gym class because I know someone is going to notice. I don't have a regular doctor and I'm terrified to tell my mom (we aren't very close). I don't know what to do. I don't want to go out in public or swimming even though I love swimming. I understand exactly how you feel and I'm sorry I can't help very much but I suggest you just be upfront to your doctor. Doctors are there for all those weird questions that you need a professional answer too (at least that's what I've been told). If you do find a way to fix this please contact me via email. I would love to know what I can do if there is anything I can do. My email is ***@****

I’m 14, Our school offers Yoga, Workouts, or regular gym, and I got stuck with yoga, so I’m constantly worrying about it. And you said you like swimming? I am a swimmer, I swim year round, 6 days a week. It’s mortifying...

Lololol im starting to not care what ppl think of my vagina if they think its a **** then so be it. I even tried losing weight to reduce the size but oh well. Improving your posture helps a bit. Dnt slouch. Im now the weight im supposed to be at 131 lbs and its still huge but heard its very popular in South America to have a large looking vagina. So maybe me and my bf should go there for a vacation. Btw im 23 years old and really do not care about ppl opinions

The act of giving birth is effected by the bones and ligaments in the pelvis, not by the size of the pubis. Having a small/large pubis won't make any difference.  Most women have a pelvis that is wide enough to give birth adequately.  Cephalopelvic Disproportion is when the pelvis is too narrow for a baby to come out of the birth canal without intervention.  You cannot tell whether or not a woman will have this problem by looking at the shape or size of her body.
