I'm okay with ibuprofen, but I can't take Advil.
With Ibuprofen, make sure that you each something before you take the medication, because it can upset the stomach.
If you get any side effects from the Ibuprofen, stop taking it immediately.
I am not able to use Ibuprofen because I got severe swelling in my legs from it.
Ask your grandma what she suggests.
I'm going to apply icy hot, and take ibuprofen for a little bit and see if that helps! Thank you!
Haemorrhoids normally happen when you strain to go to the toilet. You can get external and internal haemorrhoids.
For external haemorrhoids you would feel these on the outside of your anus, they would either be sore, itchy or painful and you would see blood on the toilet tissue.
For internal haemorrhoids, you would be feel discomfort and again would more than likely to see blood on the tissue when you wiped or blood in the faeces.
If you have not had severe constipation or severe diarrhea, you have nothing to worry about having haemorrhoids.
It is likely that you have jarred a tendon or over used a muscle or ligament like your grandma says, and I think that is the case too. Only the doctor will be able to give you are correct diagnosis.
To find out if you do have external or internal haemorrhoids, the doctor would do a physical examination of the rectum.
Take things easy for a while to let it heal and settle.
Would be a good idea to give your ball games a miss for a while until you are well again.
As you are having a problem with sitting, standing and certain movements, it may be a good idea to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis.
I do hope that you do warm ups before you start doing the ball games.
You may have landed hard on your feet and jarred something.
Hope you get on OK.
Best wishes.
The pain is only when sitting down and standing and some other movements. So that's why I think I pulled something..my parents arent sure, but my grandma says its probably a muscle or ligament. You have helped so much, thank you!
Of course you should not be freaking out.
As you do a lot of running about and playing softball you may have pulled a muscle, tendon or ligament. Or you may have a joint problem like arthritis.
If you do not have this any more and it has settled, then just keep an eye on things and see how things go. Keep a diary of when you experience this and the intensity of the pain, so should you need to see your doctor, you will be able to give him a clear picture of what you experienced.
What do your parents think it may have been?
No, I do not think it is a cyst. You would be able to feel and possibly see an external cyst. And feel a lump if it was under the skin.
It is very likely that you may have twisted your body whilst trying to catch the ball. Just take care.
Best wishes.
Do you think it could be a cyst? Or would I be able to see it?
So I shouldn't freak out about it?
Do not be scared to go to see your doctor.
He will be able to tell you what the problem is or send you for an xray to make sure that your tailbone is OK.
It could be that you have arthritis in the joints and xrays would confirm this.
You may have strained a muscle. Apply heat to the area, if that makes it worse then apply a cold compress.
Best wishes.
