Small, hard, painful lump

Hello, was hoping someone could help me with this or give me an idea of what this would be. 3 days ago i noticed that i had a small, hard lump about the size of a pea on my left, top outer labia. Ive never had this before. As i said it is hard and about the size of a pea and it does hurt, about a 4 on a scale of 1-10 but only when rubbed or pushed on. I am clean of stds and i am engaged and havent been with anyone else except my fiance for the past 5 years and i trust him. I also was just recently at the gyno for my yearly checkup the end of september and always have them test for any stds. Everything came back negative and normals. I have a history of ovarian cysts and not ovulating every month as well as irregular periods. I dont know if that would have anything to do with it but thats my history with the gyno. Other than that no problems except for tonsils and adenoids out when i was 7 and tubes in ears at 8. Ive used a warm washcloth and it took the swelling down a little and i tried a warm bath but the swelling was back within a half hour after taling the washcloth off and out of the bath. So does anybody know what this is? Its really starting to worry me and starting to annoy me. I truly dont like going to the docs so dont exactly wanna rush to the docs. So can anybody help me? Id really appareciate it. Thanks in advance (:

*************UPDATE***************
The lump is no longer there. I left it alone and after a few days it gradually went down in size and now there is nothing there. Ive had this happen once before and still not sure what it is but im not too worried about it at this point and no point in going to the docs as theres nothing to show him now.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be a boil or a cyst. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. . Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle. Treatment includes antibiotics and incision and drainage and do not touch or pick them up.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing

I do shave, either everyday or every other day. Ive been shving now for around 8 years. Im 20 n started around 12. Ive noticed in the past that ive gotten a few ingrown hairs but it either had a head, like a white color like a pimple and i can normally see the hair as i have very dark hair. This to me doesnt resemble a pimple though as there is no head and even when i squeeze it theres no head its completely under the skin and just a round hard lump. Thats the only way i can really describe it unfortubately :(  and whats is the cysts u mentioned? I probably sound stupid :/ but ige never heard of that before, only the ovarian cysts that ive had. Thank for ur reply  (: xo
